Titanium USA™ Premium Bumper Plates have been engineered for use at the elite level. Designed for use in all Cross training environments and for elite athletes. They are also ideal for Power Lifting and Olympic Lifting. Each weight is colour coded in accordance with IWF standards. The grade of rubber used in manufacturing these plates is of the highest quality available.

These plates have been calibrated for minimal tolerances in weight. The main difference between the Premium Bumper Plates and regular rubber only bumper plates is the reinforced steel centre hub and side plates. Not only does this dramatically improve the quality and reliability of the bumper plates but it enables you to stack more plates onto bars and other equipment as they are thinner and more robust than standard bumper plates.

Sizes available are 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg & 25 kg.

  • Plate Diameter: 450mm.
  • IWF Standard collar Opening of 50.40mm or 1.98 inches to ensure a perfect fit on all regular Olympic barbells. This also prevents damage caused by loose or incorrectly sized collar openings.
  • Tested to a rating of 92 on the Shore Durometer Scale.

  • 10 kg: 30 mm
  • 15 kg: 34 mm
  • 20 kg: 38 mm
  • 25 kg: 43 mm

Why are Bumper Plates rated using the Shore Durometer Scale?
The Shore Durometer Test is the standard international system that is used to test the hardness of rubber and other synthetic compounds. The Durometer Scale was developed in the 1920s by Albert F. Shore, who created a device to measure these types of materials and so it has been named after him.
Material hardness is rated and defined according to its resistance to permanent indentation or total failure. Examples of "total failure" would be if the bumper plates were to warp or buckle during use or the inserts detaching.
The word "Durometer" has two specific meanings; The name of the instrument used to conduct these tests and the rating achieved based on the Shore Durometer Scale.
This device works by providing a rating of 0 to 100. To give you a perspective on this, most car tyres are rated at approximately 65, which is fairly high as they need to withstand a lot of punishment. A bumper plate with a reading of over 65 is considered more than acceptable.
Our Premium Series Bumper Plates returned a reading of 92! They are without doubt at the very top end in quality but due to our Industry Direct Wholesale Buying program you can buy them at up to half what it would cost you for similar grade bumpers from other suppliers. They will provide greater performance during repetitive use and last far longer than lesser quality bumpers.
